We recently finished the Two Math Cats Summer Program. This two week program covered a great deal of math, and we think you should be free to review it at any time! Here are some slides used to present in class everyday, shared as both a Google Slides and Powerpoint.
Day 1: Mental Math Tricks
On the first day, we discussed some topics regarding quick mental math, such as grouping in addition and multiplication.
Day 2: Factors
We learned about what factors are, and a few quick tips to identify when 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, and 10 are factors.
Day 3: GCF
GCF, or Greatest Common Factor, is the greatest factor two numbers have in common. We discussed two ways to find GCF.
Day 4: LCM
LCM, or Least Common Multiple, is the smallest number that is a multiple of two or more other numbers. Confused? Check out the slides.
Day 5: Fractions
Fractions are so fun! We discussed adding, multiplying, simplifying, taking reciprocals, and so much more! Sound simple? Check out the advanced fractions.
Day 6: Counting
It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3! Or is it? Check out some new ways of counting, whether it’s numbers, cats, or cases.
Day 7: Probability
What are the chances you win a coin toss? That you draw a certain card? Well, I think you have a 100% chance of learning with these…
Day 8: Combinations
How many ways can we shuffle a deck of cards? As it turns out, quite a lot!
Day 9: Diagrams
Venn diagrams are used in more than just literature! We can use these bad boys to help us count as well.
Day 10: Certainty, Counting, and More
I’m pretty certain you’ll find these certainty problems quite fun! Stay tuned for news next year!
